This is a shot of the semi private island we spend a day at. After a short ferry ride and a 10 minute hike to the beach , we shared this small island with about 50 other people. This island was donated to the NC association of black educators during segregation and it was designated the "Colored Beach". It is now a state park.Sunday, July 13, 2008
